The birth of a new fantasy author

When did I first started writing? I was very young when I started to write my first story; I was somewhere between ten and twelve years old, I don't remember exactly. It started when I got a writing assignment for school when I was eight. My teacher loved it and told me it was original and that I had talent, she also said I had used lots of difficult words for my age. I knew those words at that age because I read a lot and sometimes did some crossword puzzles with my granddad. Not much later, I figured out my dad and granddad had loved writing too when they were young, so it was probably in my genes.

A few years later there was a writing competition and my school decided to participate in it, so we could write some short story during class about what we would if we were famous. I wrote about a dream I had once had, but didn't win the competition. Still, I continued to write short stories, but almost never finished them; I was too busy with school to be able to focus on them and a few months later I had already grown out of the "stupid, childish" (in my opinion it was) story I was writing. Around the age of fifteen-sixteen I got a great idea: Dragon Dream. This was the first time I had ever been so excited about a story and I used my friends' names for my characters, which made me fall in love with the book even more. Now, I'm still very excited about the story and I love it even more than then, because over the years I grew and Dragon Dream just got better. I just can't wait for it to come out!

I hope you like my story. What's your story if you're a writer? And is there anything else you want to know about me?

Hope to see you soon!
